While they have access to many records at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, they DO NOT have access to the most important records - the local paper records in Anytown, USA.
Do yourself a favor, and use a genealogist local to the community your ancestor lived in, and make sure you see their resume and credentials. ProGenealogists uses contractors with questionable abilities.
I gave them a simple project, and it was clear their goal was to burn through the retainer as quickly as possible then convince me to spend more to get the paperwork needed to prove their case. Good genealogists do NOT work like that.
In summary, I would not recommend Pro Genealogists to a friend.
