I had used Ancestry.com in the past, but because of a prior relationship with 23andMe, my family tree on its website (which was very much in an embryonic stage) was shifted to MyHeritage.com when that website and 23andMe entered into a cooperative agreement.
Since first beginning my "work" on the MyHeritage.com website I have become a very big fan of it. I don't know if this is true, but it seems that this website has a better handle on European ancestries as a result of far more European data and sources being available on it than I have encountered before. As a first generation immigrant into the US that was an issue of importance to me, and I have not been disappointed at all, especially with the general cooperation of other members of MyHeritage.com, from many of whom I have been fortunate to obtain very useful data (including three direct lines going back all the way to Charlemagne in the 8th century (and beyond), which absolutely blew me away).
When I had a question about how to handle (on the family tree) cousins marrying each other, which would (if nothing were done) have forced me to enter two identical lines twice in the tree thus making matters far more complicated than they are already becoming, I sent an e mail requesting help to the website's Customer Support department. Shortly thereafter Marianne sent me an e mail with perfect advice, complete with a picture of a portion of the website with her arrows superimposed, that will be very easy to implement and will make my efforts (which have now become a hobby) much easier.
I gave a three rating to "Value for Money" because the monthly cost is relatively high compared to that of other ancestry websites, but MyHeritage.com's data sources appear to be better so it could well end up being very much worth it. Time will tell.
In summary, I would recommend My Heritage to a friend.
