It is very easy to join Heritage.com When I joined again and paid to do so becasue they said I had too many family names.

I thought. Ok. Even though their members get all the family names I researched
in the Swedish Church/Parish records.

So I paid to join. And now they want more money so I can see newspaper articles that I have seen for the most part on Ancestry.com

I'm so annoyed that I paid to rejoin and got very little for my money.
If you are new to gathering information this might be an ok site.
I would say save your money.

Ancestry.com lets you see the documents you need without paying extra money.

In summary, I would not recommend My Heritage to a friend.

I've used MyHeritage.com's program for the last twelve-ish years and I like the program and find it easier(for me) to use than Ancestry's program. I used to love MyHeritage.com because I could find matches with other trees and I even found a distant cousin this way who is also working on our tree and we shared information with each other. However in the last few years the site has made some changes which they claim were supporting the majority of the users. I suspect that if that is so than the majority don't use it for keeping large trees online. I was already using Rootsweb at the same time for my tree though I didn't like that site as much back then. MyHeritage reduced the number of people a tree can have under the free membership so they could increase the amount of videos and photo albums users can have. I do not used videos or the other added features that were added as I have no use for them. I don't mind that they were added, only that now I can't fit my tree on the site anymore when before I could since I don't have the money on... (Read the full review)
