In the short time that I joined My heritage (paid version) I received thousands of smart matches. I don't mind checking their data, but do mind to see that people sometimes copy the wrong data from other members, what means that I have to reject them over and over again. There is a lot of time involved with these smart matches and half of them have different names or data. That is not very smart!
Maybe there will be another way in the future to avoid these wrong matches??
There is no room for permanent remarks in the actual personal file, like a profession, etc. There is a box together with the smart matches, but that one disappears again.

Pros: easy to have a discussion via the My Heritage inbox with other members. Members are very friendly and willing to change a wrong entry and/or help you when you would have questions.

Pros: Very good experience with one outstanding My Heritage support worker: Shlomi. After many issues I had with the administration and getting nowhere, I was happily surprised with Shlomi, who actually read and understood the problem I was writing about. Thank you for solving my issues Shlomi!!!

I was introduced to My Heritage by a family member and I've spent about 2 hours 4 days a week adding and Smart Matching. I retired a number of years ago and have found my family tree to be, not only a hobby but, an everlasting record for my own family.

I did download the Family Tree Builder but in comparison with My Heritage found it to be far more complicated so deleted it from my computer and continued with the latter.

I find the whole program very easy to work with, easy access and to move around from adding members to matching.

My only issue would be the number of Smart Matches that fall very short of being even remotely a match showing 50% and below. It creates a lot of work to 'ignore this family' or 'reject' but I will continue to enjoy the whole experience!

I have been using My Heritage for a while now - I have only ever had a few issues, and when I have had issues they have been resolved accurately and promptly.

The record match feature is very helpful in terms of comparing records between trees.

I have found the program very helpful in the way it is designed and the features offered for the user. i would suggest that anyone starting off should make sure that they read some instructions prior to initially adding their family names to ensure you enter them in the correct manner. unfortunately this is something that a lot of us don't do.
i had difficulty finding information for australian contacts etc. for the features, smart matches etc., it is very strongly connected to usa sources with so many thousands to get through before i could find anything at all relevant to australia if at all.

a toll free number for australian users to use, hours of use etc. would be most helpful. i did find that when i had my most recent problem i had to send three emails before i received a response. an automated response that my initial request had been received would have helped. i had no complaints about the service i received once my problem had been acknowledged. i am looking forward to the many reports that can be produced once i have finished my project.

I think MyHeritage is a very good site. The last weeks I needed two times any help to solve some problems. The supportteam was helping in both cases and my problems were dissolved within 48 hours. Fantastic!

Hello everyone,

I'm Davide, an Italian man and I started to use My Heritage when I wanted to remember my origins. I found this program and immediately I downloaded it!

At the beginning I paid the fee for the first year but then, I am a student and I haven't money now, I worked and I'm working only on My Heritage on my PC.

When I showed to my family and my relatives what I had done...all of them were and are excited because from my computer being born an interesting family heritage.

I'm sure that in the future I'll pay the fee to have more opportunity for know others of my relatives and to keep in touch with my distant relatives.

My Heritage is an excellent program to find familymembers from now and from the past.
It gives me the possibility to get aquainted with other investigators.
The possibility to merge sites is very attractive. At the other hand one must be careful to merge if the origin of the found relatives is unknown.

In former years you had to visit a archaive to find relatives. But then you had an official paper. With Heritage you can stay at home, but it is not always certain that you add the right people to your base.

I love seeing all of the realatives linking together. I have a difficult time editing and making changes, there is something that I don't understand, but I am sure that the Support group will help me figure it out.

I joined My Heritage about 18months ago. At the time I was a complete beginner to Genealogy and had very little information and no money to buy information.
I stayed on their free plan for 6 months and without paying a cent, found living family members lost due to divorces etc and I extended my knowledge of my family history right back to the 1700's. There was no other sites that offer all that for free.

My family tree extended so much that I decided it was worth paying a membership and upgrade my storage. This extended my options for searching and gave me more storage space, all for a minimum fee.

It has not all been clean sailing as I had issues upgrading but I emailed my problem and received a call within minutes and they fixed my issue over the phone, later there was a programing error and once again within minutes I was contacted and it was corrected in minutes. It is a pleasure to have a company actually deal with issues so quickly and politely.
