Looking at the huge differences of opinions, one may expect a very controversial product, which is quite far from reality.

Myheritage is one of the leading genealogy sites (at least in Europe and Israel) and thus they have quite a huge of things on stock to offer.
I agree that they are not very cheap, but if you look for a cheap product to draw your family tree, then take a big sheet of paper and a pencil, but don't expect it to be interactive.

Once you pay, their service is very quick, good and efficient.
We have a humungous family tree with over 26000 people and over 100 users (not all of them active) and having a basic account is clearly not enough.
I am more than satisfied with the service they provide.

In summary, I would recommend My Heritage to a friend.

I really enjoyed using the basic my heratage pkg.... I filled up the allotted space very quickly and needed access to more info so I joined the premium pkg... I had all these smart matches which gave me no new I formation and were very confusing. I also fryer to use the search and it would take forever and then also give me no results.... I did not get as much time as I would have liked to spend using the premium pkg cuz the computer crashed but I don't think the money part was worth it for the price. I saw that they did automatically charge us for the next years plan even though they said they would not when I signed up but I just contacted them through email an got an immediate response. They down graded my site for me and were very helpful. Overal it's a good place to organize a few family history documents and I liked the bright happy colors of the site.... Would only reccomen it to a friend in those regards.

"I would like to give my testimony  how efficient is the My Heritage system. It has been for me a lot more than an instrument of organizing a genealogy tree. Instead it has provided me better ways of making research and to illustrate the history of my family quite well. I'm right now including old pictures of my ancestors into the system and this makes the task much more interesting and valuable."

I have used GENI for many years and was quite dissapointed when it comes to feature/benefits and response on technical issues. Since a couple of years I´ve changed to My Heritage and from day 1 I was overwhelmed of the ease of use structure and the logical way you work.
That doesn't mean of course that I do'nt have wishes for the future, among them are (no 1) a new and 100% safe way of continously merging new datas to the tree (new Gedcom exports) which can be filtered in a way so no double entries will stay behind.
(No 2) is different types of ancestrybooks and not only the one today existing (which is far to complex)
(No 3) is more help files for My Heritage as such and not only for Family Tree Builder as it is today.
But overallö I can gladly recommend My Heritage and I am confident that the My Heritage team will do its outmost to please me more in the future.

I just discovered My Heritage this year(2012) & love having the access to a whole new group of researchers! I was also able to quickly & easily create a gedcom that I was able to send to familyfinderDNA. And, when I had a question, the support team was quick to solve my problem. I have already made many, many matches with distant cousins! Thank You My Heritage!!

After mom died, our large family looked for a way to preserve the cache of 7000+ pictures from my mother's house. Our archivist, PricelessPhotoPreservation.com, recommended MyHeritage, and we're very happy with the results. I've been posting the photographs, and my brothers and sisters are tagging and commenting on them. It's great family fun ... remember women's hair from 1969? Or 1948 when dad actually had hair?

Your photographs are preserved at the same resolution you upload them at, up to 5000x5000 pixels, but are organized as thumbnails for fast browsing. The full resolution picture can be downloaded simply and spontaniously. I could probably just tell the kids which picture made me smile, but it's easy to attach it to an email for instant gratification.

The site has a tagging feature that is uncanny. It has correctly identified picutures of me spanning 60 years ... how does it do that!!

Customer support is also good, I've asked questions and actually received answers! If that isn't surprising enough, the responses were prompt and helpful.

We plan on continuing this relationship with MyHeritage indefinately so we purchased 5 years of the Premium Package with unlimited storage and received a nice discount.

Have been using My Heritage Family tree building program for about three years. In that time I have managed to find a lot of relatives. The smart matches are a good feature of the program as to is the face recognition for the photo's. In my three years I have had only one problem and this was handled promptly and with patience which is necessary for an oldie like me with limited computer knowledge. The only thing that I have found out due to this problem, was that because I uploaded the file from my Desktop when they had fixed the problem, is that no one can do any editing on the website now, and any further changes will now have to be uploaded from my Desktop. But this is a small price to pay for getting back to researching so quickly.

Would like to be able to get results from searching information from sites that don't require subscriptions.

On a whole a very good program

I have used My Heritage for a few years and enjoy using it. I have been able to make contact with the extended family in England, Ireland, USA and Australia by using the software.Many relatives say they appreciate the site.

I had poor computer skills when I started but I got positive help from the My Heritage team.

It would be helpful if one could make multiple uploads of photos although the face recognition is an excellent feature.

I have used My Heritage Premium Plus for almost two years. I have not experienced any direct problems, it has mostly worked just fine. I would like to have a support tab, so it is easier to find the right way to make contact. My experience of the help desk is good, I want a little quicker reply. I'd love to have an autoresponder, so I know you received my question. It allows me to await your response. I would like to receive more information on how I am related to different people. I know it has with the number of people in the tree to do, but if I can wish for an improvement, so I do. I have great use of family book, and the various reporting functions.

I have also started using the app, which I appreciate, It´s always give me access to the family tree.

My family tree contains soon more than 6000 people. During these two years, the My Heritage has developed several useful features to help genealogy considerably. I use the various search capabilities often, but I have been off the smart matches, there were too many hits to handle. I have the privilege of belonging... (Read the full review)

Began my family tree about 3 years ago and am up to 6000 persons. Came to it from Ancestry.com which became cost prohibitive. Once with My Heritage, I began to feel it to be much easier to use and way friendlier with it's sharing capabilities. The main draw for me was that it was more economical. The support I've received the three times I've requested has been outstanding. Many of our family members have visited, many other researchers have become members, and my children's children have all the work done for them already - a bonus. Already I've encouraged others to try the site and they have.
