My current family is fairly widely spread. Members live in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Brazil, Australia, The Philippines, USA, etc. Our languages are German, Spanish, french English and Portuguese. They are all curious about their origins. Some years ago I started a tree on my own. I soon hit serious difficulties. Somebody ( I forgot who) recommended My Heritage. I started and never regretted it thereafter.
My main problem is the resolution of the "unknown" family members. This comes from the different ways names are written and used in different languages (particularly for married women). With the reprogramming done by My Heritage in the meantime, and some tricks from my side, I have largely overcome this problem.

Another recurring problem is the appearance of the wrong pictures on the profile pages, although on the trees they are correct. I don't know why.

Because of the above described family complications I have started several tree-projects. Now I realize that some of them are redundant.Asking for counsel I got fast and useful advice. Thank you very much guys!!

I'll continue with My Heritage and recommend it to anyone interested in Genealogy.

I had used Ancestry.com in the past, but because of a prior relationship with 23andMe, my family tree on its website (which was very much in an embryonic stage) was shifted to MyHeritage.com when that website and 23andMe entered into a cooperative agreement.

Since first beginning my "work" on the MyHeritage.com website I have become a very big fan of it. I don't know if this is true, but it seems that this website has a better handle on European ancestries as a result of far more European data and sources being available on it than I have encountered before. As a first generation immigrant into the US that was an issue of importance to me, and I have not been disappointed at all, especially with the general cooperation of other members of MyHeritage.com, from many of whom I have been fortunate to obtain very useful data (including three direct lines going back all the way to Charlemagne in the 8th century (and beyond), which absolutely blew me away).

I am new to My Heritage and made an error entering data so that I was unable to enter other data. Shimon could not have been more help. He was patient and caring and it was a pleasure speaking with him. He also solved my problems. Then he called me back to let me know exactly how I could access both branches. I would have panicked if I had seen all I entered missing, which it is not. Thank you so much for such wonderful service. Beyond my expectations and makes me glad I chose My Heritage. Karen Karlsen

Overall this is a very powerful tool for visualising one's family history. Smart matches from other people's trees constantly lead to more details and interesting new branches. This is a complex suite of programs including many options, such as adding photos, biographical facts, but also tools for checking the validity of the data.

On the negative side, I find the navigation inconsistent and far too complicated. The totally different views available through local apps and the website add to the difficulty in finding one's way around. Also, correcting errors, such as merging inadvertent duplicates, is not easy.

I have been working for a long time now with my familys history and MyHeritage and the desktop app My Family Tree Builder is one of the most powerful tool I have encountered. The support at MyHeritage is excellent and all the questions I have had they have solved within a week, and also the support have been in my own language.

I can really recommend MyHeritage.

I've been using My Heritage for several years now, as the family Historian. I am continually amazed by the capacity and the features offered by this program. Being the keeper of the family history is no small task, and I couldn't do it without this great software.

I haven't needed to consult Customer Service very much, but they really came through for me recently and I sincerely appreciate it!

I'd highly recommend My Heritage software. The Family Tree is awesome, and it allows all our members to view their heritage, keeping it alive for future generations. We enjoy adding photos and ever growing information, and the Smart Matches feature helps fill in the gaps. And the family tree is a great icebreaker at full scale family reunions, literally showing the next generations where they fit in the tree.

Thanks for this awesome genealogy program!

I am a 68 year old, with very limited knowledge of computers, trying over a couple of years to do a family tree, I am finding it very difficult to trace my ancestors in Ireland from the mid 1800 to mid 1900, but anytime I contacted the my heritage team for information I found them very helpful, so thank you to the team.

I have given four stars in every case because I rarely give five since they cannot be bettered and everything can be made better! I had a small problem caused by a past visit to My Heritage some years ago and, although I fixed the problem myself, I had good support from the help site - and proper attention not just a tick-box routine. Full marks.

I had a reason to contact My Heritage with a problem. I received an email almost instantly from Shimmon in the Support team. He gave me instructions on what I would need to do. I still had complications, so Shimmon rang me and talked me through the issues that I was experiencing. His patience and guidance were top class. Thank you a million times.

My experience with working with My Heritage is great. I find so many relatives that I didn't know about their existence. It gives me and my family a chance to try and know what I couldn't find in any other way.
