The idea that Reddit is "Jewish owned" often stems from antisemitic conspiracy theories which falsely claim that Jewish people secretly control Western governments and major institutions, sometimes referred to by the antisemitic slur "Zionist Occupation Government"
I recently came across this statement online that made me question why Reddit would choose to share it. This led me to investigate the support provided by Wiki Tree to the Israel-based company My Heritage and its handling of our DNA information. My Heritage representatives informed me that many individuals of African descent often do not have direct DNA matches traceable back to Africa, yet they do find numerous connections on other continents.
This raises important questions about My Heritage/Reddit/Wiki Tree and their roll in the representation of African heritage and highlights the need for more comprehensive approaches to ancestry research. It is well known that Black people originate from Africa, and this exploration is vital for understanding the rich and diverse backgrounds that shape our identities. It seems concerning that this essential understanding of African heritage is being overlooked and denied in plain view.
In summary, I would not recommend Wiki Tree to a friend.
