Thought this would be a good site to use and signed up. However, over 200,000 names were added to my tree without any notification or asking me if they were relavant to my family. I was not notified that my account was due for renewal and a charge was placed on my account.4 days after the charge was put on my account, I called and cancelled the account. However since I did not notify them that I was cancelling before the charge, I cannot receive a refund. I find this really low that I have to pay for something I don't want and don't use. Was told that unless you notify them before the due date, you cannot get a refund. Found the program hard to use and still can't locate these people that they have added on.
Really disatisfied with the program and the way they treat customers. Would not recommend this program to anyone.
In summary, I would not recommend One Great Family to a friend.

One Great Family is a great lead source

Is One Great Family the end-all solution for my family history research? Probably not. Since they don't own any actual source documents, you'll have to go elsewhere for those. While I love the way they display the family tree and the specific individual's family, I wouldn't use One Great Family as my primary records manager, either.
But, as someone who has a very robust family tree already, I have found that One Great Family has been an invaluable resource for getting me new leads to research. As any serious genealogist would agree, digging in and breaking through those brick walls is a lot easier if you have something to go from... a date, or a name (even if it's the wrong name) than if you have nothing at all. Using One Great Family has helped me fill in three "holes" in my family tree, including my great great grandfather, and I'm not done.
In summary, I would recommend One Great Family to a friend.
