A lot of missing information and guesswork

Have spent quite a lot of money with ScotlandsPeople as I am using Ancestry and the information is limited. However, I tried to find my grandfather's birth certificate and it wasn't listed. I've also tried to find other relatives to no avail. It is a little easier when searching the Church records as there is a bit more information on the results page but basically it is possible to spend a lot of money on records that are wrong. In summary, I would not recommend Scotlands People to a friend.
