2 months ago I ordered a copy of my birth certificate. When I didn't receive it within a couple of weeks I called (I need it to upgrade my license to travel) and they said that they send these orders to USAVital. Well, I called USAVital numerous times and no one knew anything. I left dozens of messages for anyone to call me back to get to the bottom of this and never received a call back. I left emails with customer service - NOTHING! I ordered this and paid for it on April 30, 2021. Today, June 28, 2021, I finally got someone at USAVital who sent me back to Archives. Well according to Patricia, they never sent my order over to USAVital to be completed. I had to cancel my order, pray I get my money back, and restart another order. Yeah, that will be the day! I just can't believe that no one could return my calls, my voice mails, my emails, anything just to let me know. Were they just gonna let it go and "bonus" keep my money? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM ALL THE WAY - BEWARE - THEY DON'T CARE!

In summary, I would not recommend Archives.com to a friend.

No good points. It does not have any more information than you can search for free for example social security, census etc.When you cancel you will receive an email confirming your cancellation but 2 days later and every month after that your account will be charged. If you try to call you will be placed on hold, no one ever answers the phone. I am going to have to go to my bank and file.

In summary, I would not recommend Archives.com to a friend.

The website looks impressive enough but the content just isn't there. I just signed up for the free trial today and I'm already cancelling it. I searched for information that I was missing and found nothing. Then I searched for information that I knew was out there in cyber space and easily found quite often free of charge. Like the social security death index. I entered several names and not one of them came up. I was so very hopeful about this site and now I'm so disappointed. If you're not a newbie to genealogy skip this one.

The first day I tried it the site couldn't find someone that I could find through regular google search engines. Also does not have specific enough search engines to weed out the mess

I forgot about doing the trial offer and the next month (June 12, 2014) I received a monthly bill on my checking account for $7.95. Four days later (June 16) I received another monthly billing for $7.95.

I cancelled membership in June but received reply e-mail saying it would be cancelled effective July 18, 2014. The order id is 484931752.

I looked at my checking account today (July 17) and it shows another billing on July 14, 2014.
So I have been billed for another month but I have had no membership according to my account on the
Archives website since June.

I will be talking to my bank officer today.

In summary, I would not recommend Archives.com to a friend.

Found no valuable records on ANY of my ancestors. Kept refering me to Court Records I'd have to purchase additionally. Cancelled my free trial on the spot.
