I'm guessing (hopefully) on the star ratings since I haven't yet received or used the actual kit.

While awaiting my DNA kit, I simply want to compliment Stephen at extension 213, who not only answered my call but answered each question I had about ordering. Stephen was courteous, competent, and able to resolve my concerns ---as a plus, he even saved me a couple of dollars. Thanks, Stephen!!

I have been a user and inputer for My Heritage for many years. I love the site and it has helped me find sooo much of my ancestry. Recently, my elderly parents expressed a desire to have a DNA test done. Marcus was outstanding in helping with the process. My parents are in their 90s and time is short, so Marcus made me very relieved and happy that he could assist me with this purchase. I can't wait to get it. He was professional, polite and more helpful than I expected.

I sent an email to MyHeritage with a question. In about an hour, Chris called to discuss the issue. Surprised by his call I actually had to gather myself. I never had customer service call me back! I digress; Chris completely understood my situation and had a remedy very quickly. He was enjoyable to talk with, pleasant, caring, and patient. He has a great phone voice. Having worked in customer service myself, I vote for Chris to get a raise!! Thanks for calling Chris.

I've recently moved all my records from another site.

Let me start by saying I love a lot of MyHeritage's Features.

Tree Checker is Great - it helps you to remove a LOT of dead data from your tree (especially following move from another site using GEDCOM, like I did).

I also split my trees on this other site, and I can only see now, (after running relationships report) that the other site did not properly remove the obsolete family from each tree after this split.

I love the Relationships Report from MyHeritage for isolating those persons who are duplicated and require removing from each tree
BUT what WOULD be helpful, would be for MyHeritage to offer a BULK removal service for those persons identified by this report as "not related to to the home person.
Instead I lodged a call, waited a couple of days, called back MyHeritage - only to be told that I would have to delete each of those persons one by one!!
(If anyone knows how to delete in bulk it would save me hours & hours before I can actually start to use MyHeritage)

I love the program and would like to give it all five stars, however, it continually suggests adding persons who are already in my data base. This causes me to have duplication of individuals and a lot of work to delete them. Support cannot give me plan for fixing this although they are aware of the problem and have been for some period of time. Apparently more people need to complain. They are only motivated by who screams the loudest.

Meanwhile, my time is running and I cannot trust the suggestions, and will not add them.

My old email address was captured from the genealogy website & not current email submitted with my DNA sampling. Called Customer Support to correct & although support was efficient, the conversation occurs AFTER customer has waited on call-holding x 12-15 calls.

Husband & I submitted our individual DNA samples on same day; he received email verification & I did not, leading us to believe that my email address was still incorrect. Contacted Customer Support, waiting again in a call-holding line of 12 callers & instructed to wait another 10+ days, then call again to track if not receiving email verification; their lab receives many samples; mine may not have been batched as timely as my husbands; etc.

I waited. No email verification after 10 days. As the paying consumer, I resent having to track & follow up. Called again to Customer Support (similar holding line of callers) & told my sample was not checked into lab so I should this time call Technical Support in Israel between hours of midnite & 3 PM.

Called following day (only 2 callers this time) to learn that my DNA sample had been processed day prior but I still have not received a... (Read the full review)

Best site for ease of use, organization, and presentation. 99% of what I did required no help; but when I did need assistance a smiling knowledgeable staff person was there to provide information.

With this site I was able to reconnect with family in Europe that World Wars and the subsequent Iron Curtain had prevented for multiple decades. So, wonderful was my experience it prompted the best attended Family Reunion we ever had with attendees from both sides of the Atlantic. So successful was my research it cleared confusion of how branches were connected. It gave true reason why we held each other so dear. Our family was even published in a US national newspaper for our European heritage.

Although I have a very low income, I will continue subscribe to MyHeritage because it is important to me to keep researching my family tree, and I have made great progress as a subscriber to MyHeritage. I especially appreciate the function that allows me to search for the discrepancies in my family tree that came when I added other people's research before I realized that other people's research might have errors (such as a parent dying a century before their child was born!) Although I have only needed to call customer service once, I found the customer service representative to be knowledgeable and able to solve my problem, which involved billing. The problem had nothing to do with MyHeritage. It was just that my credit card had been compromised, and I called to make sure that MyHeritage had been able to bill me through the replacement credit card number. Also of great value to me is that, through MyHeritage, an extensive pdf can be created which makes all my family tree information easily accessible and understandable. I love the way MyHeritage sets out the family tree. So easy to view though I would love to be able to add baptismal records as easily as birth and death records are added on Main Page. What I like about the Quick Filter is that it is searchable by both a woman's maiden name and married name, though this feature does not always come up to scratch - hence my rating for Search Effectiveness and Ease of Navigation. I do sometimes find that persons I know are on the tree do not always come up in a search and I have to scratch about for parents or spouse or children to find them. I have queried this and upgraded but it still happens on occasion?

Called to find the place for source citations. I've belonged for 2-3 years and never found the place to give a source. Support lead me to it easily and the lady was very nice to talk to and explained thoroughly.
That said, the source place is really hidden and not easy to find. Without Tech support, I don't think I would ever have found it. Plus it doesn't automatically tie a source to an event.

My overall would be a 3.5 stars.
