I was raised around genealogy and I've tried some of the other systems. Myheritage is the best research tool I've used. All the available records and the smart matches allows me to run a line at lightning speed. The only thing that annoys me is that I can't pull Myheritage info from other trees into mine. It says the the feature is coming soon but it's been saying that for a few years. So how soon is soon.
As to customer support... They rock! When I set up my account my sister and my brother both gave me a gedcom of their trees - each had over 40K records. So with a ready, fire aim mentality I imported both. The files were pretty close to identical so I decided to delete one. When you have a file that big you can't delete it by yourself. All I had to do was explain my situation and ask for help and the tech support people deleted the duplicate tree. Now all I've got to do is clean up the remaining tree. I have had accounts with Ancestry and Find my past and think that my Heritage is the best as far as producing the Family Site and ease of use of Births and a Marriages is concerned. There are numerous features that are interesting and useful especially the Timeline facilities. Cost is reasonable and the display of the site to family members is straight forward.I have asked for technical help twice so far and the response has been very good on phone and e.mail.

Navigation is probably the greatest issue. I have great difficulty in returning to the family site from other areas. It seems to require 2 or 3 operations dependant on where I was working.

Alon was very helpful in guiding me to understanding my chart and how it is managed. She was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I find Heritage a fantastic adventure through time. I have traced one side of my family to Scotland in around the 1100 AD. Heritage has provided me with pictures of my family throughout the search. Now I understand why I am so interested in Celtic history. I would highly recommend Heritage.

When I joined My Heritage I really wasn't expecting much. I knew absolutely nothing about my father's side of the family except for a few brothers and sisters who were much older than him and a couple of his nephews. I did not know the name of either of his parents as they had passed away in the late 1920's and my father never spoke about them, probably because I didn't have the sense to ask. I did know that they came here from Germany before my father was born. I utilized the sale they were having to have my DNA done, which was a learning experience in itself. So I learned I'm not German at all and a whole lot of things that I had no idea were in my bloodline, but most of all I actually found all sorts of things out about his mother, her mother and father and my grandmothers siblings and his father's name. I would like to thank Enga for the wonderful help today! I had a charge on my checking account that I was not aware was going to show up. I called in to see what it was for and Enga explained everything to me and help me through the refund process. Heritage could not ask for a better team member!!

The system is useless for searching. The navigation is repetitive and strange. All interesting links require a 185 USD payment commitment which renders the system useless. Minutes after registering, an anonymous call center calls me on my unregistered (!) phone to "advertise". So, not convinced.

I was having a horrible time trying to make it through the site. I am old and not real computer smart.
The person who helped me was patient, kind, understanding. She never made me feel like I was imposing on her. I felt so accomplished when we were finished. I am very excited to receive my results. I do not remember the lady's name who helped me but it might have been Brigget who sent me the email. I regret not writing her name down. Bless this unknown lady. She certain is the one I would want to do business with.

This is basically a scam, as others have written. They lure you in with a free trial, or promises of loads of data and family connections. But what they don't say is they've separated all of their services, so even if you do shell out money to find an unlimited number of connections, you have to pay more for a 'data' plan which is necessary to do searches of family members. And who knows what other hidden fees and charges are built into their plans. Plus the prices are ridiculous! And when you complain and try to cancel, they will tell you it's their policy not to do cancellations and refunds. And when they say that have cancelled it, despite this 'policy' what they have really done, is cancel your auto enrollment, not your actual account. You will need to call them repeatedly to get them to cancel your account and refund your money. It all comes off felling very shady and unprofessional. I do not recommend.

I was interested in finding out some information on a relative pf mine so I came across My Heritage and started searching. It was so fun & interesting as I discovered more than I had originally hoped to find. I forgot to cancel after my free 2 weeks and was so worried when my credit card had been charged for the annual subscription. I am unemployed and could not afford the fee at this time. They could not have been nicer about it and offered a full refund. I am so relieved and will be back to get a subscription as soon as I am able. Thank you so much My Heritage. Sorry I was unable to offer any bad points.

I had a problem. Try as I did, I was not able to find the right button to ask a question. How frustrated I became as I tried this one, that another and yet another. Rather than get frustrated I found 'Contact' listed on the menu and made a phone call. The response was quick and it was easy to know whether to press Number 1 or Number 2. I spoke to a young lady who listened to my problem and she readily rectified it. How nice it is to have a real person on the other end of a phone, to be have a courteous conversation and to be able leave feel satisfied. Thank you. I'll certainly use the phone if an issue arises again. In the meantime I'll get back to my Family Tree.
