I had problems with synching my tree with the one on my computer plus another huge problem. It took weeks to find the cause of it but MyHeritage sorted it out and helped me along. Very impressive. Always polite and never intrusive, they finally found the cause - amazing. I am happy I joined MyHeritage.

Daniella on the telephone in Tel Aviv is polite, pleasant to chat with, very helpful, clear of speech and guidance and a true professional in every way. After a moment of internal research, she navigated me around the site until we found my target companion member.

I maintain my family tree, as well as a wider project based on my surname (2000+ individuals) and publish my results on Ancestry, FamilySearch, GeneaNet and WikiTree. I have tried tools from all of these, none of them come close to the MyHeritage/Family Tree Builder combination. Good sources management, ease of use for voluminous data entries (in FTB), best web design, which particularly important when sharing tree with non computer savvy family members.

I enjoy this site. I purchased the premium edition and use it daily. I have added thousands of people to my tree. On the mobile site you get a good tree which is easy to navigate. So far I have not been able to duplicate that on the computer site. Hopefully I will find out how soon. I get a picture of the tree when I put in a search name but I can't seem to interact with it. Other than that it is a great program. More helpful that Ancestry not not as easy to use. I need a good tutorial for the program because it has a lot it can do.

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

It works fine, from time to time I require technical help and Support. The Support is provided and helps to find & rectify the technical Problems.

I wish the Support Team great success in dealing with the customers.

I have found all staff I have talked over problems with, to be friendly, knowledgeable, very polite who actually I can call my friends. Being disabled most people don't really want to help me, however these wonderful people go out of their way to assist me.

There is one avenue which would be most useful, especially for any person which would be having the ability if I for example had two family trees I was working on, and wanted to merge the two trees. To have that ability would be fabulous. I do all my work using Family Tree Builder. In fact I have nineteen trees and have been told that I have to transfer every name - one by one into the main tree.

The staff have suggested I just leave them as they are, however when I receive many emails from people wanting me to confirm people with them, I have enormous problems trying to remember which tree people are listed in.

It would be terrific if the program could tell me which Tree they are listed in, but being Legally Blind in both eyes with only a small amount of vision remaining, plus being a paraplegic, sitting in my bedroom... (Read the full review)

Short review: Could not transfer data from my existing My Heritage to version 8.0. 1st fix was only partially successful (would not sync) I then left on a 3 week trip; when I returned there was an additional suggested fix (Rafael was my My Heritage on line tech). This worked and, much to my shame, the actual fix was in the on-line help section that My Heritage provides-I just did not dig deep enough.
So, all is good in the land of old people looking for older people.

I chose MyHeritage Family Tree Builder because it was initially free, had easy-to-use features and a multitude of options in terms of layout and possibilities for inclusion of detail. I also found the Charts and Reports options very useful.

I used the software to construct my family tree for the first time electronically and as I exceeded the 250 person limit for the free 'Basic'package I upgraded to Premium. The cost of this was reasonable compared to Ancestry.com. However, I am not a genealogy 'freak' so once I had my tree constructed I was not going to get value for money in researching and adding new family members, etc. I wanted to revert to the Basic' package but found this hard to do on the MyHeritage website. For obvious reasons they don't want people to downgrade but eventually I got a response from the customer support team which acceeded to my request. It is, of course, useful for MyHeritage to have as many members as possible, even at the basic level, as they then hold data access to which they can charge for.

My experience with MyHeritage has been very good. I have been able to add many ancestors and facts about them thanks to the MH process that sends me regular messages about matches that their software found in other members' family trees. I recently asked for help with turning off a feature and I received a simple and effective solution in an email the next day. The only concern that I have about the information I receive from those other members is that I cannot tell how well their facts have been researched and documented. As a result, I don't have full confidence in these facts.

Have been with this site for three years and it has helped me enormously in extending my family tree. There are lots of areas to search though sometimes the information I enter seems to be ignored. I recently had cause to query the charges made to my account and received a quick and helpful response which answered my questions and gave me reassurance.the ability to store documents and photos have helped to spread interest in my tree among family members and more tenuous links have been cemented. I would recommend my heritage to anyone researching family trees as a site which gives value for money and scope to search successfully.
