I have been a member of My Heritage for about 5 years and in that time, have had very few problems.

Recently I suddenly had a reduction in the numbers of updates and Smart Matches that I was receiving. I sent a message to My Heritage, explaining as best I could my dilemma.

Within 48 hours,an email arrived with several suggestions, the first one worked & I informed the Team Member at My Heritage, who then by email,explained what I had done to cause the problem & what had been done to correct it, he also had added an upgrade to one feature, which has been a huge help.

Concurrently I needed assistance in transferring information to a friend for whom I had started establishing his Family Tree. As I had emailed the file, I had left some information in the file which maintained a link to me.

I received a phone call yesterday from my Helper at My Heritage & despite the huge distance & time difference we went most of the way to solving the problem. Problem quickly solved

I had some problems opening an uploaded file, but this problem was quickly resolved upon contacting the web site. They even contacted me back several times asking if I achieved a satisfactory outcome.
Their representative Marina was most approachable and helpful.

This problem was only a minor one; I never had any major ones with this web site and I'm happy to keep my page where it is - with myHeritage.

Help with resolving access issues and help with dealing with

Today 10/9/2015 I rang the My Heritage organisation and asked for assistance with the couple of issues named above. I pleased to say both problems were dealt with in a very pleasant manner and follow up e-mails provided to underpin the sessions advice. It's a great relief when issues that can bug one when learning to use the software are dealt with so efficiently, effectively and pleasantly and it bodes well for my future preparedness to ask for help when I'm stuck in that I'm now confident that I'll get any help I need. Well done My Heritage

I have been using My Heritage for 2 years now and am very satisfied with the program and the customer service they provide.

I love the printouts I can get of my tree, and the ability to store detail for future reference.

I have had a techie problem and on contacting them, they found it working alright at their end so must be my computer. To avoid me not being able to print a family sheet, they actually did it for me at their end and emailed it to me. I think that is excellent service.

The one thing I would like to see, is the subscription being able to be on a monthly basis. As I am retired I struggle with finding the whole amount in one go, also it means that like now, the NZ $ is not good against the US. By having the choice of paying monthly at least it would get the NZ $1 at a varying rate. By paying monthly, it would enable me to keep my subs up whereas now, I may have to let it go when the due date comes up.

I would certainly recommend my friends to use this program.

I am just a little concerned - I NEVER signed up for Myheritage, yet they sent me an e-mail (to my personal account) saying that my account is up and running and my tree is available to add to it.

First of all - how did they get my personal e-mail address?????

Secondly - I have never uploaded any tree to the internet - I was with ancestry.com and just cancelled it. All my research was kept on my home computer. How could I possibly have a tree to "access" on myheritage when one was never uploaded anywhere??

Thirdly - even if I did have a tree uploaded - myheritage does not have my permission to use my tree nor any data I would have. Why would I give them all my data for free ?

And finally - why would have to pay in order to access my own tree????????

I wrote to myheritage 3 times with the above questions and they have never responded.

Is this an indication of their customer service policies??

Do you think I will join?????

Family site was failing to load on my computer

I had contacted My Heritage, as my site was failing to load. They were prompt with their reply. The instructions were clear and precise for even me to follow.

After information was sourced from me and sent back to My Heritage, the problem was sorted out. I even got the final reply over the weekend.

I had already recommended to a friend this site, and would do so again. It is easy to use, although I do prefer the old screens to the new format, however there were some great new features.

My Heritage and I

My current family is fairly widely spread. Members live in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Brazil, Australia, The Philippines, USA, etc. Our languages are German, Spanish, french English and Portuguese. They are all curious about their origins. Some years ago I started a tree on my own. I soon hit serious difficulties. Somebody ( I forgot who) recommended My Heritage. I started and never regretted it thereafter.
My main problem is the resolution of the "unknown" family members. This comes from the different ways names are written and used in different languages (particularly for married women). With the reprogramming done by My Heritage in the meantime, and some tricks from my side, I have largely overcome this problem.

Another recurring problem is the appearance of the wrong pictures on the profile pages, although on the trees they are correct. I don't know why.

Because of the above described family complications I have started several tree-projects. Now I realize that some of them are redundant.Asking for counsel I got fast and useful advice. Thank you very much guys!!

I'll continue with My Heritage and recommend it to anyone interested in Genealogy.

I've Become Addicted to MyHeritage.com

I had used Ancestry.com in the past, but because of a prior relationship with 23andMe, my family tree on its website (which was very much in an embryonic stage) was shifted to MyHeritage.com when that website and 23andMe entered into a cooperative agreement.

Since first beginning my "work" on the MyHeritage.com website I have become a very big fan of it. I don't know if this is true, but it seems that this website has a better handle on European ancestries as a result of far more European data and sources being available on it than I have encountered before. As a first generation immigrant into the US that was an issue of importance to me, and I have not been disappointed at all, especially with the general cooperation of other members of MyHeritage.com, from many of whom I have been fortunate to obtain very useful data (including three direct lines going back all the way to Charlemagne in the 8th century (and beyond), which absolutely blew me away).

I am new to My Heritage and made an error entering data so that I was unable to enter other data. Shimon could not have been more help. He was patient and caring and it was a pleasure speaking with him. He also solved my problems. Then he called me back to let me know exactly how I could access both branches. I would have panicked if I had seen all I entered missing, which it is not. Thank you so much for such wonderful service. Beyond my expectations and makes me glad I chose My Heritage. Karen Karlsen

Using My Heritage for almost one year

It took me some time to choose the proper gen program, but choosing My Heritage was a great Bingo!
The FTB is just excellent, easy to use, very friendly and straight forward. The whole program is dedicated to be a supportive tool for the amateur gen diggers.

During the last year, had no need for Support ( just to prove the program capabilities...). After installing Windows 10, had some need in help, and got it on the spot. So based on the onetime experience, the technical support provided is also excellent! Just another reason to warmly recommend My Heritage to all.
